The amount of newly issued ICX is an increment function of the growth rate in the ICON Network activity. The annual issuance rate is approximately 5%~10%, however, the exact rate depends on the P-rep's node operating costs, compensation for DApp providing valuable services, compensation for developers who have a positive impact on the ICON ecosystem, and compensation for ICONists participating in various votes. The issuance rate will be minimized to prevent inflation, however, P-Reps/C-Reps can vote to adjust issuance to incentivize more development, vote participation, DApp production, etc.
